Biography of late Lion Mukhlesur Rahman
Late Ln. Mukhlesur Rahman, the founder Chairman of Uttara Motors Ltd. He established Uttara Motors Ltid (UML) in 1972. From inception UML is dealing mostly with the automobile sector with internationally renowned manufacturers of India and Japan like Bajaj Auto Ltd, Isuzu Motors Ltd., Suzuki Motor Crop & Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Mr. Rahman set up Menoka Motors Ltd., the country's first assembling plant for 3 wheeler auto-rickshaws and 2 wheeler scooters under technical collaboration agreement with Bajaj Auto Ltd in 1978.
Throughout his life, Ln. Rahman worked hard with utmost honesty and sincerity to establish his automobile business. He also diversified his business into the textile and pharmaceutical sector at the latter part of his life.
Ln. Rahman was a widely traveled person and a philanthropist. He worked personally to further education in his native village of Chargas in Upazilla Kushba, Brahmanbaria through setting up school and college by name of his father and family. He always cherished a heart of kindness for poor needy people of our country.
On 16th August 1999, he departed untimely keeping all his life time achievements behind. His untimely departure shocked and moved a lot all his near and dear ones; especially his very close friend Ln. Nader Khan. What eventually stimulated Ln. Khan a lot to work in the field of charity and ignite the vision of LMRF.
