The Shining History of LMRF
On year 2001, renowned Plastic surgeon Prof. Dr. AJM Salek came up with a brilliant idea of curing cleft lip and palate deformities of Chittagong. He found Ln. Dr. Sri Prakash and then Lions District Governor Ln. Nader Khan by his side to flourish the idea. Later on benevolent heart of Ln. Khan grabbed it as a mission of removing this inborn curse from the face of Bangladesh.
10th July 2001, was a remarkable day when for the first time in Bangladesh the "Lion Mukhlesur Rahman Plastic Surgery Project" took off at Center Point Hospital Chittagong to bring miracle in the lives of ill-fated facial cleft deformity patients. Prof. Dr. AJM Salek took over the responsibility of changing lives by his skilled hands.Initially this was a project of Lions Clubs International, Dist 315-B4, Bangladesh which eventually laid the foundation of Lion Mukhlesur Rahman Foundation (LMRF). Since that day, LMRF passed a glorious decade and created a legacy of service towards mankind who had been deprived from the beauty of good looks or blessings of normal limbs and silently praying every moment for a miracle to happen to change their life.
