LMRF as a Co-organizer with Hope’87 Successfully Organized International Youth Leadership Camp 2016
For the first time, LMRF participated in an International Youth Leadership Camp as a co-organizer, which was held on February 1-3, 2016 at Sheikh Hasina National Youth Center, Savar, Bangladesh. The Key organizers of this eventful program were HOPE’87 Bangladesh, National Youth Services Council of Sri Lanka and LMRF, YPSA, Step Up Foundation, Sonne International, BRI, Shorshongitaloy and YAH were among the co-organizers. Md. Kayesh Emon & Md. Nahid Al-Humaidy of LMRF actively participated in this camp.
The main motive of this camp was to bring young people from different geographic, cast and cultural origin under an umbrella to share cultures, break down barriers, encourage and boost-up intercultural relationship, build up friendship & team work between different nationalities, improve self-esteem, confidence in individuals and most importantly have Fun!!
Total 53 youths from 7 countries participated at the event to share their leadership experience and way forward to change the world. Different topics were discussed & activities were performed such as team working, Leadership skill, field activities, bonfire etc. In addition to that leaders across the world have given their lecture to the participants. Both the participants ofLMRF learned a lot and made many new friends after joining this camp. More importantly, they highlighted various humanitarian activities of LMRF to all the participants and youth leaders. Through this event and with close collaboration of HOPE’87 Bangladesh, a new door has opened to the wide field of Youth Development Activities for LMRF.
