Zero Clubfoot Celebrated Six Years of Humanitarian Service
Six years!!! It has been an incredible ride. But it still feels like day one. LMRF celebrated its one of the benevolent projects, Zero Clubfoot’s 6 years of successful journey towards creating a clubfoot free Chittagong. The event was held at Tava Restaurant on 11th February, 2016.
Dr. Shamin Khan, Executive Director of LMRF shared the journey of this project. At the time, Mr. Nazmul Haque Chowdhury, President of Lions Club, Ms. Hasina Khan, Executive Member of LMRF, Mr. Imran Khan, Managing Director of Pedrollo, Dr. Azizur Rahman Siddique, Civil Surgeon of Chittagong , Dr. Anna Ey Battle, Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon of Hospital U. Sant Joan de Deu Barcelona, Spain, Mr. Marco Scattolon, Executive member of National Clubfoot Association, Ms. Silvia Ghigna, Chairman of National Clubfoot Association, almost all the staff of Zero Clubfoot and LMRF and representatives from different local organizations were presents among the guests.
Dr. Shamim Khan, during his speech, acknowledged and thanked the support ZCF received from all of its supporters, donors, staff and local stakeholders who relentlessly supported ZCF. He also mentioned that “it absolutely couldn’t have done without their support, nor can we take the next steps without their help. Together, we dig deeper and go farther. Let’s keep it going and growing for the next hundred years.”
After a short ceremony marking the work of Zero Clubfoot, some of the guests along with Dr. Azizur Rahman Siddique, Civil Surgeon of Chittagong, expressed their views & expectations where he mentioned that “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to ZCF Team. These individuals epitomize the word “hero” through their effortless work for Shaping Up Tomorrow” and finally all of them cut a cake to celebrate Zero Clubfoot’s successful 6th Years.
